I saw this at Tokyo in Tulsa 2013 in Tulsa, OK this past weekend. It was part of the local science fiction costuming group's setup.

Notice the smoke coming out of the box below the blue tubes. There's a fog machine that runs through the previous picture's pipes and runs to the box to simulate smoke.

    Ooh that's gorgeous!
    I come from a theatrical background, so seeing nice sets like this really inspires me.
    I've helped build sets, and done a lot of terrain-building back in my Warhammer days - it's amazing what you can do with some junk, tubes, and a lick of paint.
